The limit of five people from two addresses is maintained in private meetings – which does not include those under 14 years of age in the calculation – and for Christmas , between December 24 and 26, the meetings may be extended to four more people, also from other homes.
In its daily report, the RKI specifies that the data released on Tuesday by the body itself did not include numbers from the federal state of Saxony, which could partly explain the high death toll registered in the last 24 hours and may affect other indices such the cumulative incidence in seven days.
Even so, even without the cases of this “Land” – with 153 deaths and 5,603 new infections in the last 24 hours – a new maximum number of fatalities would have been reached today, according to calculations by the newspaper “Bild”.

The reproduction factor (R) that takes into account infections in an interval of seven days compared to the previous seven, and which reflects the evolution of infections from eight to 16 days ago, is located in Germany as a whole at 0.98, which is which implies that every hundred infected infect an average of 98 other people.
However, the RKI states that this value is only provisional given the aforementioned absence of data from the federal state of Saxony.
