In mid-October it was announced that Warner Bros. gave birth to see the spin-off of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’, centered on Furiosa, which will star Anya Taylor-Joy (‘Lady’s Gambit’, ‘The Witch ‘,’ The New Mutants’ and ‘Emma’) and Chris Hemsworth (‘Thor’), and it has finally been revealed when it will be released.
According to information from Variety and ComicBook, the studio announced on the afternoon of December 23 that the film will hit theaters on June 23, 2023, hoping that the pandemic does not change this calendar.
But that was not all, Warner is preparing a film that will mix animation with the ‘real world’ called ‘Coyote VS. Acme ‘ (yes, The Coyote and the Road Runner) for July 21 of that year, plus a musical adaptation of ‘ The Color purple ‘ for the end of the year holidays, on December 20.
What do we know about these films? The spin-off of ‘Mad Max’ will be titled ‘Furiosa’ and will also have in its cast Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and will be in charge of George Miller, who created this franchise in 1979.
While Dave Green will direct ‘Coyote VS. Acme ‘ and will focus on the long-standing rivalry between Wile E. Coyote and his preferred mail provider, plus James Gunn, director of’ Guardians of the Galaxy ‘and’ The Suicide Squad ‘, is co-writing the script; and ‘The Color Purple’ will be an adaptation of the Tony Award-winning musical and the 1985 film to be produced by Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg.
