In lust, Simone Biles is fortunate!
The 23-year-old gymnast opened up about her friendship with boyfriend Jonathan Owens when practically posing as a guest on the Today show on Friday morning.
Biles described Owens, 25, as “a real man.” after Today co-host Hoda Kotb told the sports star, who is the most accomplished American gymnast, that she has never seen her smile like she does when she is with her beau.
“I just love him,” she added. “We have a great time together. Our personalities match right up. We have the same sense of humor. And he’s just great.”
“He’s an athlete too, so we really understand each other and I think that’s why our relationship has been seamless,” Biles added. “And he also has a bulldog, so I feel like, besides him being a cherry on top, that was really amazing. And our dogs get along well.”
Back in August, the Olympic gold medalist and Owens, who plays for the Houston Texans, made their Instagram collaboration official.
Biles also shares pictures of the couple on social media together and recently posted a nice homage where she showed that she literally has the back of her partner.
Biles wears a denim jacket in a cute snap, with the last name of her boyfriend embroidered on the back, as well as his jersey number. She was also joined in the shot by a friend sporting a matching jacket on the back with her own boyfriend’s name.
“They’ve got our backs and we’ve got theirs,” Biles captioned the pic, along with a heart emoji.
Biles and Owens both celebrated their first Christmas together in December prior to her sweet tribute message, commemorating the occasion by dressing in matching Christmas pyjamas and taking a series of cute photos.
The couple wore both green and black flannel trousers and shirts reading “Dear Santa They’re the Naughty Ones” with arrows pointed in both directions.
Owens gives Biles a piggyback ride in the first clip, as she wraps her arms around the football player. In front of a lit Christmas tree, the second shot shows the pair posing together.
Biles captioned the photos, “if santa ask, the elves did it! merry christmas,” as Owens commented on the post with a string of heart emojis.
