On Saturday, RIVERSIDE (CBSLA)-The town of Riverside opened its first mass COVID-19 vaccination clinic.
Up to 500 vaccines are expected to be issued every day by the walk-up clinic.
On Saturday, Riverside County also went into the next level of vaccination, ensuring educators and food service employees would soon get the shot.
“We need to get the kids back at school so I need to do my part!” said Cindi Turner, a 6th-grade teacher who got her first dose of the vaccine on Saturday morning.
Not all counties have advanced to this vaccine stage. Just recently, Los Angeles County started vaccinating seniors.
L.A. County is, however, faring as poorly as individuals would think.
