WASHINGTON: The United States armed force claimed on Friday (Jan 29) that Chinese armed forces trips in the previous week in the South China Sea “at no time” presented any kind of risk to a United States Navy attack aircraft carrier strike group in the region but fit a pattern of destabilising and hostile practices by Beijing.
“The Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group closely checked all People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) and also Air Force (PLAAF) activity, and also at no time did they present a risk to U.S. Navy ships, aircraft, or seafarers,” the United States armed force’s Pacific Command said in a declaration.
