Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. (CBRL) reported $14 million in fiscal second-quarter profit on Tuesday.
It had net income of 59 cents per share, the Lebanon, Tennessee-based company said. Earnings were 70 cents per share, adjusted for non-recurring costs.
Wall Street expectations were beaten by the results. The average estimate of Zacks Investment Research’s four analysts surveyed for earnings was 64 cents per share.
In the period, the restaurant operator posted revenues of $677.2 million, which also topped Street’s forecasts. $668.1 million was expected by three analysts surveyed by Zacks.
Since the beginning of the year, Cracker Barrel shares have increased 20 percent.
