Francis Xavier Suarez, Miami Mayor and Bitcoin Corporation (BTC) Proponent, will appear for a 30-minute fireside chat this evening at Blockchain & Booze.
The segment, hosted by Adam Levy of the blockchain investment studio and the Draper Goren Holm fund and broadcast live from Cointelegraph’s Twitter account, will discuss Miami’s evolving status as a global crypto center, in addition to Suarez’s civic leadership obligations. The talk will be followed by a half-hour AMA with guests from around the crypto industry.
Suarez gained the interest of the crypto community in January, when Miami became the first local government to host the Bitcoin White Paper on its website. In February, Suarez revealed its plan to turn Miami into a city boasting the “most progressive crypto laws” in the United States, while the Miami City Commission recently explored allowing people to pay taxes and collect their salaries in crypto.
The next episode of Blockchain & Booze will be the first since Levy revealed a relationship with Cointelegraph on Feb. 22. Speaking at the LA Blockchain Summit, Levy said how the industry-leading meeting had evolved from a modest beginning:
“It’s crazy to see how Blockchain & Booze developed from a few people on a Zoom call to this incredibly fun weekly show where we all get to learn about what’s happening in the industry, and at the same time, meet those who are building its foundation.”
“I’m so excited to be working together with Cointelegraph as we start a new chapter for B&B and create the most fun, informative and entertaining virtual experience for everyone during this pandemic,” Levy added.
Jon Rice, editor-in-chief at Cointelegraph, said, “We are delighted to have this media collaboration with Blockchain & Booze. Adam Levy and the Draper Goren Holm and LA Blockchain Summit team have developed a unique format for getting to know the industry’s top leaders more closely. It’s a community-focused gathering, and when everyone gets bored of the same stuffy formats, it’s proven to be a perfect way to unwind, relax and still enjoy a fun and educational crypto-focused chat. Now, give the bag a slap.”
