Hertha BSC are in ‘very, very good talks’ with 17-year-old youngster Luca Netz over a new deal, says sporting director Arne Friedrich. “We are in very, very good talks and have contact,” Friedrich told Sky.
“Luca is a very important player in our plans, and he feels that, too.” After breaking into Hertha’s first team this season, Netz has drawn interest from Bayern München, but Kicker has previously confirmed that he would prefer to stay and sign a new contract. For Hertha’s senior side, the young left-back made eight appearances, scoring once.
