There is an explanation why Shah Rukh Khan received the title of King Khan of Bollywood. He likes to do king size stuff and never hesitates to give his followers, who treat him like a god, something fresh and exciting. As we all know, SRK was busy shooting his much-anticipated film, Pathan. The movie is being produced and directed by Siddharth Anand by Yash Raj Films (YRF).

It stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the lead as well. The creators have kept the specifics under wraps, apart from the project being made on a large scale. But it seems as if Shah Rukh Khan and YRF are planning something major with a special announcement to tease their fans.

A source close to the film reveals the reason for the delay in announcing the project exclusively to Bollywood Life, “Big and important film for YRF and SRK. They didn’t want to go the traditional route and release a poster. They wanted to announce this earlier this year but due to Covid restrictions, the actual plan went haywire.”

In order to announce the film, the team wanted to shoot action sequences, but it could not happen sooner. “Now, with some dhamakedaar sequences shot, Shah Rukh Khan and YRF will make an announcement soon with a special video tease that will blow audiences’ minds and give them the real feel of what is in store.”

Earlier, Deepika announced that she was doing Pathan along with Mahabharata, a remake of the Hollywood film The Intern and the film by Shakun Batra, when talking about the line-up of her upcoming films. While hosting Bigg Boss’ 14 Weekend Ka Vaar segment, Salman Khan, too, had confirmed doing a cameo in the movie. In reality, John Abraham liked a tweet in September 2020 that had included Pathan in his forthcoming line-ups. Although the official announcement is awaited, reports say that on a rumored budget of Rs 250-280 crore, Pathan is being made. Let’s wait for things to happen and watch them.
