Late last year, vivo revealed that it is joining six European markets, the 2021 goal is to double it and have official live presence in 12 countries. Romania and the Czech Republic are in the first row, followed by Serbia and Austria before the end of June.
The company is promising to offer luxury smartphones with innovative camera systems co-designed with ZEISS. There were no names in the press release, but there are only only three alternatives – the X60 and X60 Pro and the X60 Pro+.
Of course, there’s no guarantee that we’ll see all three, but those are the only three with a ZEISS logo on the camera bump. None of them have appeared anywhere in Europe yet, not even the six original markets.
Chances are that vivo is waiting for the UEFA EURO Championship to start. It will be a great marketing opportunity as the company is the official UEFA Smartphone partner for the 2020 and 2024 championships (note: the 2020 edition was pushed back to this year due to the pandemic).
