On Tuesday, Facebook user “Nookool.b” shared images of six navy officials rescuing four cats from the Phamonsin Nava 10 fishing ship, which had caught fire and started to sink about 13 kilometers off the coast of Satun’s Adang Island.
“As Navy sailors approached the burning ship to search it for any oil spillage as it started sinking,” Nookool.b wrote. “They swam back to the Navy vessel, carrying each cat on their backs until every cat was rescued.”
The four cats were not injured and are said to be in good health, apart from being dehydrated.A passing fishing ship saved all eight of the ship’s crew members who had allegedly jumped off the sinking vessel and into the sea before the Navy arrived.
