SINGAPORE -As at noon yesterday, there were 24 new cases for Covid-19, which took Singapore to 60.519 in all.All the imported cases were notified by the Ministry of Health upon arrival in Singapore (MOH).There are no cases in the community and none in the dormitories of migrant workers.
Of the 24 persons who returned from India and Malaysia, five are permanent residents.One is the holder of an addict’s pass who came from Ukraine, and another a holder of a visit pass from the Philippines.
Two more are pass holders of students who came from India.Thirteen came here to work meanwhile.One is a Bangladeshian work pass holder, and twelve is a work permit holder from Bangladesh, India and Malaysia.
MOH said that one of the holders of work permits is a domestic foreign worker.The last two patients imported were short-term visitors from India.One visited family members who are permanent residents, another visited Singapore for a project.MOH added that, on average, the number of new cases remained stable in the community in the last two weeks.
In the community the number of unlinked cases remained stable for the same period in two cases each week.60,224 patients recovered completely from the disease in 25 cases released yesterday.A total of 48 patients, including one in an intensive care facility, remained in a hospital yesterday, while 202 in community facilities were recovering.
Singapore has died of 30 complications of Covid-19 while 15 have died of other causes for positive testing.
