Barcelona is on the lookout for new signings for next season, and Eric Garcia of Manchester City is near the top of their list.
Last year, the young centre-back agreed to a deal in principle to return to Catalonia, but while Barcelona is still interested in him, they have offered him a lower wage package than what was agreed on a year ago.
Mateu Alemany, the new sporting director, has already started making decisions.

One of them has been to approve the signing of Garcia, a player who was on the verge of joining Barcelona in the previous two transfer windows.
However, due to the club’s financial situation, which has worsened as a result of COVID-19 and the subsequent measures imposed, Barcelona is now looking to reduce that initial offer.
It remains to be seen whether the player, who has expressed an interest in returning to Barcelona, will accept the offer.
