Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold2 will be $200 cheaper in the US and £200 cheaper in the UK starting today. This isn’t a one-time deal; it’s a permanent discount that makes the company’s foldable computer marginally more affordable than before – though it’s still firmly in the “bonkers expensive” category.
The Z Fold2 is currently $1,800 in the United States and £1,600 in the United Kingdom.
In addition, Samsung is offering a 60-day “trial period” for both the Galaxy Z Fold2 and the Galaxy Z Flip in the United Kingdom. This means you can buy one and then trade it in for a complete refund after 60 days.
The argument seems to be that some people will want to try out a foldable for a while before committing, to see if it suits their needs, and this helps them to do so.
Samsung has launched a referral service for foldables in the United States. Through the Samsung Members app, owners of Galaxy Fold and Flip series devices can build their own exclusive referral code, which gets people $100 off when they buy a foldable. Not only that, but the referrer also gets a $100 Samsung.com credit. –GSMArena
