West Ham United beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-2 to move into the top four. Jesse Lingard scored a superb solo goal and assisted another.
After Rui Patricio tipped Michail Antonio’s shot onto the post, Wolves’ goalkeeper could do nothing as Lingard raced from his own half to give West Ham the lead in the sixth minute.
On 14 minutes, Pablo Fornals doubled West Ham’s lead by converting a cutback by Arthur Masuaku, who was played in by a superb piece of skill from Jesse Lingard.
After Lingard’s excellent run and pass, Jarrod Bowen added a third in the 38th minute, rifling a shot past Patricio.
Leander Dendoncker headed in a goal for Wolves just before the break, following a brilliant run and cross from Adama Traore.
Fabio Silva scored Wolves’ second goal from Pedro Neto’s pass on 68 minutes, setting up a tense finish.
West Ham held on to avoid losing a three-goal lead for the second game in a row, thanks to a goal from Neto. With 52 points, they pass Chelsea into fourth place.
With 35 points, the Wolves fall to 14th place.
