The Singapore Ministry of Hygiene says there are 17 new cases of Covid-19 since Monday (May 3), noon. Of these, ten belong to the community and none to the dormitories. The new cases are either patients and employees at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) or in close contact with previous quarantine cases.
Eight instances of the TTSH nurse deployed at Ward 9D were linked to case 62541 and were identified by proactive testing, says MOH. The hospital cluster, which has connections to 35 cases, is the biggest of nine clusters active here.
Furthermore, at the time of your arrival in Singapore, there are already seven imported cases. In Singapore this brings to 61,235 the total number of Covid-19 cases.
MOH added that the case details are being reviewed and will share further updates this evening.
