Barcelona Femeni qualified for the Women’s Champions League final on Sunday afternoon thanks to a 2-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain at the Amsterdam Arena.
Last Sunday, the two clubs drew 1-1 in the first leg, nicely setting up the second leg. Barcelona did not disappoint, scoring twice in the first 31 minutes through Lieke Martens to take a 2-0 lead. Three minutes later, Marie-Antoinette Katoto pulled one back, but it was only a consolation prize.
Barcelona will face Chelsea in the final, with the London club qualifying after a 5-3 aggregate victory over Bayern Munich. It will take place at Gamla Ullevi in Gothenburg, Sweden, at 21:00 on Sunday, May 16th.
A European title would be a fantastic way for the Blaugrana to cap off a fantastic season. They’re in first place in their domestic league, having won 25 of their 25 games, scoring 127 goals and conceding only five. They lead second-placed Levante by 14 points.
