Real Madrid have been dealt a major injury blow with the news that right-back Dani Carvajal will be out for the rest of the season.
Due to injury problems, the 29-year-old has only made 15 appearances across all competitions this season, and he is unlikely to play again this season.
According to Diario AS, a muscular injury in his right leg will keep him out for the rest of the season.
The Spain international’s season has been marred by muscular injuries, and he has been out for a total of three months since suffering a knee ligament injury in October.
He has missed a total of 29 games this season, and Lucas Vazquez has filled in at right-back during that time – though he, too, is out for the rest of the season.
Nacho Fernandez or Alvaro Odriozola are the most likely candidates to fill in for the remainder of the season.
