Barcelona is said to have approached Paris Saint-Germain about a summer bid for Brazilian superstar Neymar.
Neymar is expected to start contract talks with the French giants at the end of the season, as his current contract expires in July.
Despite hints that he is ready to commit his long-term future to the Ligue 1 defending champions, Barcelona is keeping a close eye on the situation.
According to RAC1 via Marca, new Barcelona president Joan Laporta is still interested in bringing the 29-year-old back to Camp Nou this summer.
Laporta and Barcelona have already contacted their French counterparts to assess their willingness to reach an agreement if Neymar rejects their contract offer, according to the report.
If Neymar decides to return to Barcelona ahead of the 2021/22 season, he will have to take a pay cut, with PSG potentially open to offers in the region of €100 million.
