Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos and left-back Ferland Mendy are expected to start the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Chelsea on Wednesday night.
According to a report in Diario AS, both players missed the first leg due to injury, but are now in contention to start the return leg in London with the score tied at 1-1.
Fede Valverde won’t know if he’ll be able to travel until the matchday squad is finalized.
Los Blancos will be without Raphael Varane due to injury, which means Ramos will likely be partnered in the middle of the defense by Eder Militao, with Nacho Fernandez also likely to start.
This year, Ramos has dealt with a knee injury and muscular problems, and he has only recently recovered from Covid-19, during which he has been plagued by misfortune.
Back to the right Dani Carvajal will miss the rest of the season due to injury, joining Lucas Vazquez and Varane on the sidelines.
