Next month, the actor-singer and ‘Voice’ mentor will emcee the 2021 Grammy Awards from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater.
The 2021 Billboard Music Awards will be hosted by Nick Jonas, it was revealed today.
Currently, the actor and singer is a coach on NBC’s The Voice.
Jonas’ most recent projects include Chaos Walking and the Netflix holiday series Dash & Lily, on which he acted as an executive producer and appeared in a cameo role. The Jonas Brothers received three Billboard Music Awards during his time with the band.
Jonas will take the stage after three-time BBMA host Kelly Clarkson, who is also a mentor on The Voice.
Along with his wife, actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Jonas recently helped announce the Oscar nominees for 2021.
The Weeknd led the way as a finalist in 16 categories at the Billboard Music Awards, which were revealed yesterday.
DaBaby has 11 nominations, Pop Smoke has 10 nominations, Gabby Barrett has nine nominations, and Bad Bunny, Chris Brown, Juice WRLD, and Megan Thee Stallion each have seven nominations.
The 2021 Billboard Music Awards will air live on NBC on Sunday, May 23 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater.
The map date for this year’s awards is March 21, 2020 to April 3, 2021. Finalists and winners are determined by Billboard and its data partners, including MRC Data, based on fan experiences with music, such as album and digital song sales, downloading, radio airplay, and social participation. Top social artist and top partnership are two fan-voted categories.
