Lady Dimitrescu is still quite large.

It appears that it is a laid-back Friday in the village. All of the deadly baddies in Resident Evil Village’s upcoming horror sequel have shed their spooky masks and transformed into puppets. Yes, including Alcina Dimitrescu, your favorite large lady. For a silly little skit, she’s joined by the felty faces of Mother Miranda’s other lords. In some way, one of them is a puppet twice over. Even when they’re murdering each other, they look cute in this state.

Unfortunately, there are no English subtitles for the video, so your guess is as good as mine as to what’s going on. Unless you’re bilingual, in which case your guess might be a lot better. I’m going to go with the theory that this was an arts and crafts class gone horribly wrong.

Even at puppet scale, Lady Dimitrescu is still significantly larger than her companions. That’s an important point. Anyway, here’s a silly little romp between yonder village’s puppets.

If you haven’t looked into Village’s baddie roster yet, I can tell you who these characters are. I’m sure you’ve heard enough about Lady Dimitrescu. She’s a tall woman. The engineer with the chainsaw is Heisenberg, who we’ve heard Lady D mention in a couple of Village trailers so far. Ethan Winters, the misfortune protagonist, will have to deal with both of them at some point.

Salvatore Moreau is a “bizarre man who hides away in a reservoir,” according to Capcom. It’s no surprise, then, that he’s the first to be fired by his peers. Donna Beneviento, the puppeteer, is the last of the group. Donna’s puppet Angie, to be precise. So you’re a puppet of a puppet?

In other Resident Evil news, the final Village demo will be available this weekend, and you can preload it now. The multiplayer mode RE: Verse, on the other hand, has been postponed until this summer. Oh, and Resident Evil Village is one of the top ten games we’re looking forward to playing in May.

Resident Evil Village will be available on Steam on May 7th.
