As of Sunday (May 2) noon, the Ministry of Health (MOH) had preliminary confirmed 39 new cases of Covid-19 infection. Fourteen of the new cases was spread locally. Thirteen of them are related to previous events.
11 of the cases were discovered by diligent testing of patients, visitors, and medical personnel and are related to case 62541, a 46-year-old female Filipino nurse at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) deployed at Ward 9D.So far, the cases have been found in the city, and no new cases have been discovered in the dormitories, according to the MOH.
There are also 25 imported incidents, with 10 Singaporeans or Singapore permanent residents and three international domestic workers serving Stay-Home Notices or being isolated upon arrival in Singapore.
The total number of Covid-19 cases in Singapore now stands at 61,218.The Ministry of Health also stated that it is working through the specifics of the cases and will provide further updates tonight.
