College GameDay For Saturday’s Show, has Special Guest

The college football season in 2021 is approaching, but there will be no games until ESPN’s College GameDay returns to the airwaves. And they have a renowned guest for their first show of the season.

The MEAC/SWAC matchup between Alcorn State and North Carolina Central will be broadcast live on College GameDay. One of the SWAC’s most well-known coaches, Deion Sanders, will appear as a guest on the main cast.

On September 5, Jackson State’s head coach begins his second season with the Tigers. However, he told ESPN that he’ll be attending the game at Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta to “study” the opposition.

Due to the pandemic, Sanders’ Tigers were unable to play Alcorn State last season. Sanders concluded the 2020 season with a 4-3 winning record when they were awarded a 2-0 forfeit win.

Week 0 will have a small number of games for College GameDay to cover. A Big Ten showdown between Nebraska and Illinois will be the main event.

That game will put the Huskers’ embattled head coach Scott Frost against the Illini’s new head coach Bret Bielema, who took over for Lovie Smith after a three-year absence.

Hawai’i vs. UCLA, UConn vs. Fresno State, UTEP vs. New Mexico State, and Southern Utah vs. San Jose State are among the other games on the Week 0 schedule.

There will undoubtedly be pyrotechnics when Deion Sanders enters the house.

We can’t wait to get started.
