Mike Mayock, the general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders, acknowledged to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport on Monday that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
Mayock, who is 62 years old, currently works from home.
“Very grateful that I am vaccinated as I could very easily be in a hospital rather than working comfortably from home,” Mayock said in a statement obtained by Rapoport.
Mayock is in his third season as the Raiders’ general manager.
The Raiders had many concerns with COVID-19 protocols last season, but head coach Jon Gruden has expressed his gratitude for how his team has handled vaccinations this offseason.
