It’s time to unbox the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, which is the top dog in Samsung’s folding lineup this year. The Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, like the Flip3, comes with a single USB cable and a SIM tool in the package, but Samsung’s pre-order campaigns in several areas will include a flip cover, S Pen Fold Edition, and a 25W charger for free.
When comparing the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G to the Galaxy Z Fold2 5G, we can see that the latter has a brighter inner display. Samsung claims a 29% improvement, which you can see in this extreme example.
Here’s another fascinating comparison for you to consider. When fully opened, the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G features a massive 7.6-inch display that easily outclasses even the largest of traditional phones, such as the Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G, when it comes to browsing, looking at images, or running two programs simultaneously. The Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G, on the other hand, has a slightly wider viewing area than the Fold3 when watching a video in cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio.
Here’s a close-up of the under-display camera when it’s not hidden and in operation. The narrower pixel pattern over the lens may be seen pretty clearly.
When you’re watching dark stuff on the screen, the camera is most visible.
