On Monday, while most teams were reducing their rosters, the Titans were adding to theirs. Linebacker Nick Dzubnar (re-signed) and safeties Bradley McDougald and Clayton Geathers were among the three players signed by the organization.
Between 2015 and 2019, McDougald, an undrafted free agent, started 70 games for the Buccaneers and Seahawks. The veteran has played in 105 games (82 starts) in his career, recording 487 tackles, 10 interceptions, and 43 pass breakups. In 2020, he appeared in seven games for the Jets, recording 36 tackles, his lowest total since his rookie season. Due to a shoulder injury, his 2020 campaign was cut short.
Geathers spent his entire NFL career with the Colts, appearing in 56 games. Between 2018 and 2019, he started 22 games for the Colts, recording 101 tackles and four pass breakups. He sat out the 2020 season and spent the majority of the offseason without a contract.
Dzubnar spent the 2020 season with the Tennessee Titans, where he established himself as one of the team’s top special teams players, leading the team with 13 special teams tackles. He played for the Chargers for the first six years of his career, appearing in 65 games.
