Tyron Woodley was Restrained After a Member of the Jake Paul Team Mentioned his Mother

All hell broke loose on Thursday after a member of Jake Paul’s entourage insulted Tyron Woodley’s mother during their showdown ahead of Sunday’s Showtime boxing battle.

After a rather calm press conference, a member of Paul’s crew taunted Tyron’s mother, “Mama Woodley,” while the competitors stared each other down.

A ruckus erupted between the two squads, drawing Woodley’s attention. Woodley’s rage grew as he comprehended what had happened. Before things got physical, security stepped in. Paul’s group was led out of the room, but Woodley after them, and the two parties exchanged words before being led away.

Woodley, a former UFC welterweight champion, will face Paul in a Showtime pay-per-view boxing bout on Sunday. Paul has a 3-0 boxing record, having defeated YouTuber Ali Enson Gib, former NBA star Nate Robinson, and former MMA champion Ben Askren. Meanwhile, in the fight, Woodley will make his professional boxing debut.
