For the third running back place on the Baltimore Ravens’ roster, there is a fierce rivalry. While many assumed the role belonged to Justice Hill at first, Ty’Son Williams and Nate McCrary have emerged as formidable contenders with plenty of potential.
Williams broke free for an incredible 20-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter of Baltimore’s preseason game against the Carolina Panthers, when he juked and powered his way to the end zone.
Williams spent last season on the Ravens’ practice squad and has certainly improved in his second season as he tries to make the roster. With Hill out with an ankle injury against Carolina, Williams has taken advantage of the extra snaps and could now be regarded the leading candidate for the running back job behind J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards.
