Ohio State’s first touchdown of the 2021 season has been scored, and it came on an exciting play. The Buckeye defense forced a punt near midfield after allowing a couple first downs on Minnesota’s first drive, and the offense went to work.
After gaining a first down, Ohio State’s running back Miyan Williams scored on a 72-yard touchdown rush in the Twin Cities, putting the Buckeyes up 7-0. It was the perfect start for Ohio State as it prepares to face the Golden Gophers on the road. It’s also worth noting that Williams was given the first drive instead of veteran running back Master Teague.
To put the Buckeyes up early, watch Williams reach the edge and rumble past all of Minnesota’s defenders.
The scarlet and gray have had a fantastic start to the season. Hopefully, we’ll see more of the same to start the season off on a positive note. Throughout the game, we’ll keep you updated.
