Terms of service
Draft for the site owner: this text is a starting template, not legal advice. Have a lawyer in your country review it, fill in the company name and contact email (COMPANY_NAME, CONTACT_EMAIL), then set LEGAL_REVIEWED=1 to hide this notice.
Last updated 16 October 2026. These terms are between you and [company name] (“we”), which runs Site builder. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
The service
You describe your business and we use AI to fill a fixed website design with text, then publish it on an address we provide or on a domain you connect. Some features depend on your plan.
Your account
- You must give a real email address and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian who agrees for you.
Your content
- You keep ownership of what you give us (descriptions, photos, contact details) and of the site content you publish.
- You give us permission to store, process, display and send that content to our service providers as needed to run the service, including to the AI provider that writes your text.
- You promise you have the right to use everything you upload or write, and that your facts (prices, claims, contact details) are true.
- AI text can be wrong or generic. You must read your site before sharing it and correct anything inaccurate. You are responsible for what you publish.
What you must not publish
- Anything illegal, or that helps someone break the law.
- Scams, phishing, fake shops, or pages that pretend to be another person or organisation.
- Malware, or anything meant to harm visitors’ devices or collect their data without their knowledge.
- Content that exploits or endangers children, threatens or harasses people, or promotes violence or hatred.
- Content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or privacy.
- Spam, or using the contact form feature to send unwanted messages.
We can remove content or suspend sites or accounts that break these rules, with or without warning when the risk is serious. To report a site, see Contact and abuse reports.
Domains
You may connect a domain only if you control it. We may stop serving a domain if you stop controlling it or break these terms.
Payments
Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment provider and renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Taxes may be added. If a payment fails your plan may return to Free, and features that need a paid plan (such as custom domains) stop working. Refunds: [describe your refund policy].
Limits and availability
Each plan has limits (sites, builds, pictures, photos). We work to keep the service running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copy of anything important.
Ending your use
You can stop using the service at any time. You can delete your account and data yourself from the dashboard. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or put others at risk.
Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or lost-profit damages, or for content published by users, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; for important changes we will tell you by email or in the dashboard. These terms are governed by the laws of [your country].
